Writing Journal

This is my daily journal to begin getting into the habit of writing regularly. A friend was doing something similiar from a book and initially I was using her blog. Later I purchased the book and began to do my own reading. However, since I publish in Examiner.com and also have some other writing projects that I am working on most of the writting assignments will be done elsewhere most of the time.

About Me

My photo
Sharon Abbott Cowan
I am a 67 year old great grandmother who has a number of projects and venues in my life. I retired from work as therapist for chemically dependent individuals, predominately adults but occassionally adolescents. My current job is for a local yarn shop that is converting from a brick-and-motar store to an on-line store. I'm an avid crafter, currently doing a lot of knitting and crocheting for self, family, friends, charity, and for sale. I have enjoyed writing since I was a young girl. Areas of interest are history, archeology, geneology, reading, and Christian missions. I want to be a perfect example of the love of God to a hurting world but usually fall far below that mark. I am certified by Craft Yarn Council as both a crochet and a knitting instructor. In addition to teach I also enjoy designing both knitting and crocheting patterns. My patterns are on sale and free in my Ravelry.com store. I am also a charter member of the local chapter of the Crochet Guild of America.
